Cataloguing the Ancient World
Tokens of the Ancient Mediterranean (TAM) is an online catalogue of tokens (also known as ‘tesserae’) from the ancient Mediterranean world. The catalogue currently has good (but not exhaustive) coverage of tokens from ancient Egypt, Italy, Athens and Late Antiquity. Pieces from museums, auctions, and excavations are included. Data entry is ongoing.
