Notes

Note: On one specimen (BMCRLT 417) of this series the legend MAV is visible above the horse. Rostovtzeff read the legend surrounding the head of Sol as VEN VST, but he appears to have misread the top of the radiate crown as a V. The radiate head may equally be that of an emperor.
