cass. 10,81 inv. 30054 (25.05.72)
Ostia, Terme dei Cisiarii, 1972-73 excavations. Found in Room C (the frigidarium) of the baths, in a stratified context dated from the late Antonine to the Severan period. This particular token was found in 'C2', along with 17 other tokens in a fill layer; also found was an as of Lucilla from the reign of Marcus Aurelius (RIC III 1780), poorly preserved. Spagnoli suggested that all the tokens found in the room may have been a homogeneous deposit that was later dispersed.
