Description: Ostia, theatre. Excavations at the back of the second taberna in the NE corner. The giornale records that the mould was found
behind the 'botteca' under the cavea of the theatre in the second taberna. The fill in this area comes from the internal tabernae
in the theatre. Two strata were visible - the one below composed of earth and small traces of fire, with that above containing
lots of disordered material, likely from earlier excavations/diggings from ancient times. The finds listed (including the
mould) are from the lower layer.
Note: Probably also the same mould as recorded in Giornale degli Scavi 1913, p. 30 inv. no. 6976. The Giornale records a mould half
for SEVEN round tokens of 9mm without design, 142x145mm. The NSc. records 9 tokens and gives the dimensions as 124x145mm.
