Obverse: Fragment of a mould half for 4 lead circular tokens
(12mm) decorated with a small altar (?) in the centre. Central casting
channel and casting branches coming off it.
Description: Ostia, Sabazeum. Continuation of the street between the 'via dei Sepolcri' and the 'baths', reported in Notizie 1908 p. 468.
Excavations between the via dei Sepolcri and the baths. Excavations of the structure 15 B and along the via dei Sepolcri,
up to the city walls. Also found was: an inscription to Jupiter Sabazio (perhaps mentioning the dedication of a sanctuary),
an inscription to Numini Caelestis, an alabaster head (Jupiter/Sarapis?). In the eastern corner of this region a series of
objects were found together with the remains of the vaults and wall, which seemingly constitute the collapsed first floor,
perhaps a peristyle. The token mold was found along with Herms and busts, and other objects.
