survey focused on the immediate hinterland of Leptis Magna and the modern city of Khoms, between the low hills of Ras al-Mergheb
to the West and Ras al-Hammam to the East. 28 coins were recovered in 13 of the 57 sites. The specific context of this lead
token was Open villa KHM 153, 2/1st centuries BC - 5th century AD". Also found was a Numidian aes coin of Massinissa-Micipsa,
clipped to a quarter.
