The obverse legend is worn and probably reads ALEXAND[ER]. The date is controversial and is generally believed to be the reign of Honorius (AD 395-423), since one of the specimens of the Asina series carries the cuirassed and pearl-diademed bust of the emperor Honorius on the obverse.
